With the help of God, the Iglesia Ni Cristo’s (Church Of Christ) propagation work in South Africa has led into the growing number of believers. This was evident, among others, in the transition of the Manyatseng Group Worship Service (GWS) into the status of a local congregation.
The former GWS used to conduct worship services in the residence of Juliet Molaoa. As their number increased, the members searched for and eventually found a property at 3051 Lusaka, Manyatseng, which was then converted into a suitable place of worship. This was where they held the worship service on August 28, 2021 that marked the elevation of their group into a full-fledged local congregation.
Brother Sheridohn Santos, district supervising minister, officiated at the sacred gathering during which he taught a biblical lesson about how God’s servants should face with hope in Him all situations that may seem hopeless to others.
“We express our gratitude unto the Almighty God for His continued help and guidance unto us most especially in the expansion of the Church Of Christ here in the District of Southern Africa. We are able to [show] the impact of the words of God not only in the lives of the brethren but also in the community. We’re able to see hope renewed and inspiration,” Brother Santos said.
New officers also took their oath of duty during the worship service to help the Church Administration in overseeing the brethren.
“The brethren here in Manyatseng are overjoyed. They now have a bigger place of worship. Since the establishment of the GWS here back in October of 2017, they have seen how God helps the Church,” said Brother Ramil Maninang, the resident minister.
