With much thanks and praises to the Lord, the brethren from the Local Congregation of Marnay, Ecclesiastical District of Ilocos Sur, Philippines held the first worship service in their new house of worship on May 1, 2021.
The congregation was established on November 30, 1968 and was formerly named after its original location, Brgy. Cabulalaan. It is now called after Barangay Marnay where their new and bigger house of worship has risen.
Brother Eduardo Donato Jr., assistant district supervising minister, led the worship service. He taught about the characteristic and those who believe in the words of the Lord God—one of which is that they are fully devoted to worshiping Him inside the house of prayer.
“We thank the Lord God and the Church Administration because this local congregation is blessed with a beautiful house of worship,” Brother Donato said. “The Church Administration continues building houses of worship for this is important, especially for the brethren so that in here they will worship and praise the Lord God.”
The brethren expressed thankfulness for the new chapel where they will continue to pray to God for their needs, especially in these trying times.
“I am joyful because of the new chapel built for our local congregation, I will all the more dedicate myself in fulfilling my duties,” Larino Yere, a head deacon, said.
On behalf of the brethren, Brother Logen Camorro, resident ministerial worker, said, “We promise to God and the Church Administration that we will take care of this house of worship, we will maintain its beauty and orderliness for the honor and glory of our Lord God.” — With reports from INC News Section
