The “Binhi Sports Activity” organized by the Local Congregation of Marseille, in France, fostered closer ties among teenagers in the congregation.
Held on October 9, 2022, the sports activity was held at the Stade Marseillais Université Club, an all-sports club, which is just minutes away from the congregation’s place of worship located at 90 A Avenue de Mazargues, Marseille.
In the activity, the Binhi members played friendly matches of volleyball, with KADIWA officers from the same congregation serving as game officials.
Crissa Dayo, Binhi congregation vice president, said, “Being it a team sport, we all played together. There’s so much fun, especially as it had been a long time since we had seen each other. We got closer.”
“We learned to trust each other, as we were able to communicate by working as a team, and I think that that will help us in our personal life,” said Joshua Alejo, Binhi congregation president. He went on to say that sports as a form of exercise is “essential for our health, and thus, to feel better, and most of all, so that we may all the more use our life and strength in serving God.”
The Local Congregation of Marseille, one of several in France, is under the supervision of the Ecclesiastical District of Western Europe. — With reports from INC News Section
