
New Church members who were fruits of the evangelistic efforts of the Church’s district in the Mediterranean region received baptism at the historic Jordan River on November 27, 2021.
Prior to their baptism, the would-be members gathered first at the Ilan Sports Center in Haifa, Israel to receive further biblical instructions from the district supervising minister.
Brother Ramil Regino expounded from the Bible the importance of prioritizing worship services as it is the duty and privilege of those whom God has called into the true Church, adding that it is here where they can all the more feel His compassion to them.
Among the newly baptized members was Elena Orot, who was baptized together with her two children. “I really thank God because He allowed us to be members of the Church Of Christ,” she said. In the face of many obstacles, Elena stood her ground because according to her, “This [Church Of Christ] is the true religion where salvation dwells.”
Since he learned about the unity of the brethren within the Church, Boris Dobrovinsky was encouraged to further examine the beliefs upheld by the Church Of Christ. Now that he is a full-fledged Church member, he promised, “I will serve God wholeheartedly until the end so I can be saved on Judgment Day.”
When asked about her invitation to those who search for the truth, Jenneth Balmes, a newly baptized brethren, said, “I hope that they will give a chance to listen to the teachings of God here in the Church Of Christ.”
“Because of the brethren’s unity to the call of our Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, in the intensive work of propagation, and by God’s grace, we were able to conduct baptism in this historic place of Jordan River in Israel,” said Brother Regino. — With reports from INC News Section and Cleofe Ariola
