On January 24, 2022, the Ecclesiastical District of Mediterranean enjoined the brethren from local congregations, extensions, and Group Worship Services (GWS) in nine countries and a state in Europe to nurture their mental health. This was done through a webinar led by KC Cuestas, a health professional from the Montenegro Group Worship Service.

Cuestas gave the brethren some valuable tips on how to brighten their days when they feel stressed. She spoke about the importance of getting enough sleep, keeping in touch with their loved ones, and doing something they might be good at, like honing their artistic skills, among others. “In these trying times—in the midst of pandemic and intensified adversities—it is imperative that we have a sound mental state in order to overcome the challenges that come our way,” she said.

More importantly, as a Church officer, she reminded her fellow Church Of Christ members that mental health is important for one’s physical well-being but, as the Church Administration always reminds, it is all the more important “to keep our mental condition being in optimal state to continuously perform our [Church] duties and serve our Almighty God.”

The activity ended with Brother Ramil Regino, district supervising minister, exhorting the brethren to remain obedient to the Lord come what may because such servants of God are the ones assured of receiving His promised help. “All the more that we should rely on the words of God. By loyally following His commandments, we will be able to maintain a healthy body while remaining in spiritual fervor in all our services to Him,” he said. — With reports from INC News Section
