To bring together brethren from various local congregations in the district as well as expand their skill set, the Christian Family Organizations (CFO) leadership from the Ecclesiastical District of Mediterranean, hosted a Basic Sign Language seminar on September 11, 2021.
Judith Imus, a CFO officer, served as one of the resource speakers. During her part of the seminar, she shared with the brethren how to sign letters, numbers, words, phrases, and some Church terminologies.
“The sign language seminar held in our district is very fun. Everyone participated with a smile. It is a nice way to connect with the brethren and learn something new. This activity is helpful because we can use what we have learned to communicate with the deaf community,” said Beverly Ballesteros from the Local Congregation of Athens, Greece.
According to Mark Gabatino, ministerial worker, through such seminars, brethren “can learn more about sign language that we can use in our day-to-day living, especially in our services to our Lord God.” ― With reports from INC News Section
