The message delivered during the special gathering held for the youth in the Ecclesiastical District of Calgary on November 4, 2022, resonated among the attendees, further strengthening their faith.

Through a Bible-based lesson preached by Brother Rolando Gaviola, district supervising minister, they were reminded of the importance of staying active in their membership in the Church Of Christ. They were also admonished to avoid things that could distract them from fulfilling their duties to God in their bid for a blessed life here and now and salvation on the Day of Judgment.

“I believe God’s words are beneficial in my life in this world and in the life to come,” Kaitlyn Padillo, a Binhi officer from the Local Congregation of Capitol Hill, Alberta, said. “So, I weigh how much my choices will affect me. Will my choice have a positive impact on me in the end? Is it in accordance with the commandments of God? I think about the end goal.”

“One thing that I can take away from the preaching of God’s words is about family. I am family oriented. So, when Brother Roland mentioned, ‘our parents won’t be here forever,’ he reiterated to us that we should be strong in the faith and take after our parents who are active in serving God,” said Lindsay Madera, a Binhi choir member from the Local Congregation of Heritage Park, Alberta. “My parents always tell me to put my Church duty first before anything else and to consider what will happen in the future, prioritizing my faith in everything that I do. They always instruct me to be active and participate in Church activities.”

The said gathering, which was held at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Downtown, Alberta, was in commemoration of the 49th anniversary of the KADIWA and Binhi organizations. — With reports from INC News Section
