The leadership of the Christian Brotherhood International in the Ecclesiastical District of Metro Manila East sponsored on August 14, 2021 a Taekwondo Seminar online for the organization’s members. It saw the participation of CBI members in local congregations in Mandaluyong, Marikina, Pasig, and San Juan, cities located in the eastern part of the Philippine metropolis.

From the comfort of their homes, the brethren energetically participated through videoconferencing in the warm-up exercises and in following the basic Taekwondo moves being demonstrated.

Zander Gregorio, a SCAN member from the Local Congregation of Pasig and a certified Taekwondo instructor led the activity. “Taekwondo is important, along with other martial arts, not only because we can learn self-defense from it, but it also makes our body’s immune system strong as it is a form of exercise,” he said. He encouraged the attendees to exercise daily.

“We promise to take care of our health and do our best to unite with the Church Administration through active participation in all Church activities to the glory of our Almighty God,” said Arwen Philippe Esposa, a CBI officer from the Local Congregation of De Castro. ― With reports from INC News Section
