The Church Of Christ members from Monterrey City, Nuevo Leon, Mexico no longer have to drive for 11 hours or take a plane to reach the country’s capital to be able to attend worship services in the Local Congregation of Mexico City.

They now hold the worship service in their own city, the first of which, held on August 8, 2021, marked the official establishment of their group worship service, as approved by the Church Administration.

The place of worship of Monterrey GWS is at 113 Cerrada Capellanias, Cerradas de Cumbres, Monterrey, Nuevo Leon C.P., Mexico. Monterrey is the capital of the state of Nuevo Leon. The GWS, like local congregations in Mexico, is under the supervision of the Ecclesiastical District of Latin America.

Brother Paul Martinez Jr., the first minister assigned to oversee the GWS, led its members at the inaugural worship service. He exhorted them to put their trust in God and not be afraid come what may in this world because He promised to help His nation in which they belong as Church Of Christ members.

“With the establishment of this GWS, not only will the brethren here be able to regularly hold worship services closer to their homes, they will also be able to intensively share the true faith to their family members, friends, and colleagues who live in this city who are not yet members of the Church Of Christ,” Brother Martinez said.

Reaffirming their vow to uphold their devotion to the worship services to the Lord God, the brethren also promised to invite more people to know more about the true Church Of Christ for them to worship the true God. — With reports from INC News Section
