The members of the Christian Medical Dental and Paramedical Society (CMDPS) in the Ecclesiastical District of Micronesia participated in an online seminar on giving first-aid and life support on May 23, 2021.
They learned the proper way of administering cardiopulmonary resuscitation or CPR for adults and children alike. They also gained know-how on “Cardiac Chain of Survival” and various techniques of saving a choking person.
Jerson Sajise, district SCAN president and a trainer for the Red Cross, served as the resource speaker. Using a slideshow presentation, he showed the great importance of giving first-aid as initial care during times of emergencies wherein every second counts. He said, “Giving first aid to someone is like giving that person a chance to live.”
The district supervising minister, Brother Noel Gasmen, delivered the welcome address, giving the participants important biblical advice to uplift their spiritual fervor.
Thankful for the knowledge and skill they acquired, the brethren promised the Church Administration to be ready to use these in helping save lives when the occasion arises. ― With reports from INC News Section
