Exerting more effort to reach out to the community, the Local Congregation of Minchinbury, Ecclesiastical District of Australia East, joined the Church Of Christ all over the world in the relaunch of the “My Countrymen, My Brethren” project.
Established by our Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, the project aims to intensify the brethren’s efforts in sharing their faith especially to their countrymen. This is what motivated the brethren from Minchinbury to more openly invite their neighbors, friends, and colleagues to join them in the “My Countrymen, My Brethren” relaunch.
The event began with the preaching of God’s words to inspire and guide the brethren and their countrymen. The message that was delivered was timely, given the wave of natural disasters that have recently ravaged the Australian landscape. Afterwards, the visitors were entertained by Iglesia Ni Cristo original music performed by the young members of Minchinbury. Food was served to the guests through the varieties of food stalls serving dishes from different international cuisines. The guests were also given a tour of the Minchinbury chapel to know more about the local congregation’s history.
As the “My Countrymen, My Brethren” project was relaunched in all provinces in the Philippines, as well as in 156 nations and territories across 6 of the world’s continents, the members from the Local Congregation of Minchinbury were eager to unite with this important mission. Over the summer season, Australia has suffered great loss to their land, wildlife, and housing due to the recent bushfires. As such, more than ever, the members of the Church Of Christ needed to reach out to their countrymen, offer their help and services, and introduce them to the true words of God so they are properly guided and inspired.
