In celebration of its 25th anniversary, the Local Congregation of Mississauga West, Ecclesiastical District of Southern Ontario, in Canada held a socializing activity on April 17, 2022. The brethren assembled at a function hall at 84 South Service Road, Mississauga, Ontario.

At the start of the activity, Brother Raul F. Adalla, the district supervising minister, read the greeting letter from Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, the Executive Minister of the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ).

Afterwards, a short film about the congregation’s history, highlighting the milestones it reached through the years, was presented.

Paul Arevalo, head deacon, said, “We are thankful that the Church Administration sent ministers here. With them guiding us, from the congregation’s nascent years to its becoming a full-fledged local congregation and until now that it has bore additional local congregations, we are able to carry on with our services to God.”

As the brethren enjoyed dinner together on that special night, the congregation’s secretariat choral group performed their rendition of the Iglesia Ni Cristo original music “Come with me.” This was followed by a solo performance of Frances De Leon who sang “Till I’ve won it.”

Games, among other entertainment, were also facilitated.

Mississauga Mayor, Mrs. Bonnie Crombie, conveyed her greetings to the brethren. In her letter, she stated, “You are a valued member of our city’s growing spiritual community … it is with great pleasure to extend my sincerest best wishes.” — With reports from INC News Section
