“I enjoyed it. The kids choir was amazing. It’s easy to get along with anybody, how kind they were towards me,” said Antonio Ventura,  a guest who joined prospective members, doctrinal instructees, and candidates for baptism in the “Welcome, My Brethren” hosted by the Local Congregation of Montreal, Ecclesiastical District of Ottawa, Canada on November 28, 2021.

Held at the compound of the house of worship, the charity event was also participated in by other brethren through videoconferencing. Resident minister, Brother Linito de Aro, led in warmly welcoming the guests. The congregation’s choral group rendered Christian songs in the course of the activity.

The guests received winter essentials, such as coats, gloves, scarfs, and boots, donated by the brethren as “winter in this eastern part of Canada is challenging. Sometimes, it [temperature] drops to –35ºC that one would really want to bundle up,” said Alfredo Manalad Jr., head deacon. — With reports from INC News Section
