In the Ecclesiastical District of La Union, Philippines more brethren in various local congregations accepted duties in the Church. Those who accepted duties in the Secretariat were sworn in during a special gathering on January 13, 2021. The activity was witnessed by other Church officers through videoconferencing.

Brother Jonie Sibalo, assistant district supervising minister, officiated at the holy occasion from the house of worship of the Local Congregation San Fernando. In his Bible-based homily, he commended the congregants for accepting a Church duty as it is one of the commandments of the Lord God. He then taught them about the qualities that God expects officers in the Church to have.

After the homily, Brother Danilo Magaling, district secretary, administered the oath-taking of the new secretaries. “We are joyous that more brethren accepted duties in the Secretariat. They will surely help in the intensive edification of the brethren,” he said.

Charito Dator, head secretary of the Local Congregation of San Fernando, said, “We promise to take care of the records in the Church and we will continue uniting in the activities of the Church to give glory to our Lord God.” — With reports from INC News Section
