Through the abiding help of the Lord God, the intensified efforts of the brethren from the Ecclesiastical District of Carcar City, Cebu in the work of propagation has continued to yield new faithful. More of their fellow Cebuanos were added into the Church Of Christ during baptisms held on March 22 and 25, 2022 at the houses of worship of the local congregations of Carcar City and Mainggit, respectively.

Brother Sergio Vista, district supervising minister, officiated the holy occasion in Carcar City while Brother Marlon Francisco, assistant district supervising minister, in Mainggit.

During the baptismal service, both officiating ministers reminded the candidates for baptism of the utmost importance of membership inside the true Church Of Christ. They emphasized the biblical truth that remaining as devoted members until the end assures them of salvation when the Savior Jesus Christ returns.

After the homily, the candidates for baptism took an oath of their membership. They vowed, among others, to be obedient to all of God’s commandments being upheld in the Church.

Joy Almero, a newly baptized member from the Toledo City Congregation, expressed, “I thank the Lord God for allowing me to become a member of His Church. I will cherish this [membership] by sharing my faith to other people.”

One of the three districts in the province, Carcar City District is in the southern part of Cebu comprising 35 congregations with several extensions and group worship services. — With reports from CJ Mutia and INC News Section
