The baptism was held at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Butuan City and was officiated by Brother Wilfredo Sumang, assistant district supervising minister. In his homily, he called upon the would-be members to value their God-given election and their vow to live in holiness in order to receive salvation on Judgment Day.
After the homily, the baptismal candidates took their oath before receiving their much-awaited baptism.
“My heart is filled with joy right now because I have finally received baptism. This is a great blessing from the Lord God,” said Geson Pariente, one of those who were baptized that day. “I promised God that I will continue to serve Him inside the Church Of Christ and never let go of this divine election, come what may.”
“We thank God for giving our district more victories. We mean to keep our promise of being united with the Church Administration in further intensifying the propagational efforts here in our district,” Brother Sumang said. — With reports from INC News Section
