“Every household in the district, led by the ministers, ministerial workers, and Church officers, wholeheartedly fulfill the will of God to spread the gospel,” observed Brother Homer Tiomico, assistant district supervising minister of the Davao City Ecclesiastical District.

Amid the pandemic, the Davaoeño brethren remained united with the Church Administration in the work of propagation. “Bible studies on doctrines and evangelical missions are continuously being held online,” Brother Tiomico explained, adding that in face-to-face situations, protocols were strictly observed.

Brother Tiomico gladly remarked that, with God’s help and guidance, more Davaoeños were added into the Church Of Christ on the day it reached its 107th anniversary, and on the following day, through series of baptisms.

On July 27, 2021, two consecutive baptisms were held at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of General Malvar, one at 8:00 in the morning followed by other one at 11:00 in morning.

The next day, July 28, at the same time schedules, two more batches of converts were baptized at the Mintal Local Congregation’s house of worship.

All attendees on the said sacred gatherings, which was officiated by Brother Tiomico, duly followed safety protocols as the city of Davao was in General Community Quarantine (GCQ).

During the pre-baptism worship service, he taught the baptismal candidates of the utmost importance of receiving true baptism in order to receive everlasting life in the Holy City on Christ’s Second Advent as what the Bible teaches.

“Under the leadership of our district supervising minister, Brother Bedan Ubaldo, it is the earnest desire of the entire district to be one with the Church Administration in making the Good News of salvation on Judgment Day known to many people,” said Brother Fernando Sicheco, district Light of Salvation overseer. “We promise that whatever the circumstances are, we will uphold this holy endeavor of proclaiming the words of God that truly pleases Him.”
