As a result of the continuous evangelical missions carried out by the brethren from the Ecclesiastical District of Iloilo South in the intensive work of propagation, more Hiligaynons learned about God’s message of salvation and strove to join the Church Of Christ. They received their much-awaited baptism on January 21, 2022 at the Local Congregation of Guimbal’s house of worship.

Before their immersion into the water, the candidates for baptism were taught the words of God by the district supervising minister, Brother Azriel Pelaez, for further religious instruction. He showed them the incomparable blessings of being called by God into the true Church—the Church Of Christ (Iglesia Ni Cristo)—for which, he said, they should be thankful.

Riza Cawaling, one of the newly baptized brethren, expressed, “I thank God for allowing me to become a member of the Church Of Christ. I want to remain here until the end for me to receive salvation.”

Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members here in Iloilo South continue to participate in the propagation work because it is a commandment of God,” said Brother George David Jr., a minister of the gospel. “So that more people will be saved on Judgment Day, we continue to further intensify the work of propagation as what Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, the Executive Minister, is calling on us to do.” — With reports from INC News Section
