New members were accepted into the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) in the Ecclesiastical District of New Jersey following the steps prescribed by the Bible, the last of which was the baptism they received on February 25, 2023.

Held at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Aston, the sacred occasion brought gladness not only to the converts to the true Christian faith but also to the brethren who were instrumental to their conversion.

“Our hearts were filled with joy, for we were able to baptize more individuals who are now full-fledged members of the Church Of Christ,” said Brother Ramil Rojas, resident minister of the Local Congregation of Elizabeth.

During the service before their actual baptism, Brother Solomon Joves, assistant district supervising minister, first reminded the would-be members of the great importance according to the Bible of remaining steadfast in the faith as members of the Church Of Christ to be assured of the promised salvation on Judgment Day.

After the homily, the candidates for baptism took their oath of membership, pledging among others to fulfill their God-given duties, one of which is to share the faith to others, just as the brethren from New Jersey had done to them. — With reports from INC News Section
