To further care for the spiritual welfare of the brethren, the Ecclesiastical District of Davao City in the Philippines swore in more Church officers during a special gathering of Church officers on March 28, 2021.

Brother Fernando Sicheco, minister of the gospel, administered the oath of the new officers at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Davao City.

“The number of members in the Church Of Christ continues to increase, thus, we need more officers to care for the newly baptized members because the Church Administration aims that not only many people become members of the Church but, above all, for them to reach the promised salvation,” Brother Sicheco explained.

The Church officers were taught a Bible-based lesson about the importance of receiving Church duties.

“I recognize the importance of my Church duty as I will be an instrument in reporting about the activities of our district to the Church Administration,” Alzel Asiano, a new officer in the district multimedia bureau from Punta Dumalag Local Congregation, said.

The Church officers who attended the said occasion, both old and new, found renewed strength and inspiration as they continue to fulfill their duties to the Lord God.

“I thank God because I felt the blessing He has given me to be a part in taking care of the brethren in our local congregation,” said Jay Anaresta, a newly-sworn deacon from Bucana Local Congregation. — With reports from INC News Section
