“Because of [God’s] teachings taught to me, I learned the truth. I’ve compared it with [the teachings in] my former religion. I am certain that the Church Of Christ is the true Church,” said Judy Ann Soro, a newly baptized member from the Aliaga Congregation.

On October 19, 2021, Judy Ann, along with other prospective members from various local congregations in the Ecclesiastical District of Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija, were baptized and thus received, based on biblical teachings, the right to serve the true God and the hope for salvation on Judgment Day.

The sacred gathering was held at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Aliaga, during which health protocols were carefully followed.

It was officiated by the assistant district supervising minister, Brother Jiglesia Jovellanos, who taught the baptismal candidates a Bible-based lesson on the importance of being an active Church Of Christ member to receiving the promised salvation. He exhorted the would-be members to be strong in their faith so that they can endure until the end despite the trials they may go through.

Judy Ann recalled how she fought for her faith as she was pursuing her membership. “I was the only one in the family to join the Church Of Christ,” she said. However, she stood firm in her conviction and held on to God’s teachings. She said that she is praying that her family will one day open their heart so they can be together in the proper way of serving God.

Rodello Ramos, a head deacon also from Aliaga, who was instrumental in the conversion of another newly baptized member, felt blessed to be of help in the work of propagation. “It is a good feeling that we are able to heed the call of the Church Administration and fulfill God’s command of sharing the faith. Through this, more people are being added into the Church,” he said. — With reports from INC News Section
