Despite the challenges brought about by the pandemic, the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) membership in the Isabela West Ecclesiastical District continued to grow as new members from different walks of life joined the true fold.
As a result of the brethren’s efforts in spreading the true gospel of salvation in the past few months, their district conducted simultaneous baptisms of the new faithful on April 23, 2021.
The baptism held in the house of worship of the Quezon Local Congregation was officiated by the district supervising minister, Brother Eugenio Corpuz Jr. The one in the Quirino Local Congregation’s house of worship was led by Brother Delfin Rayo Jr., assistant district supervising minister.
During the study of God’s words, both ministers reminded the baptismal candidates of the unequaled value of membership in the true Church Of Christ in attaining salvation on the nearing Second Advent of the Lord Jesus Christ.
“Baptism inside the true Church is vital in one’s life because this was what the Lord Jesus Christ taught in order to attain salvation,” explained Brother Rayo. “That is why the district continues to intensify the works of propagation so that many people will be called inside the Church.”
One of the newly baptized member, Louie Tañedo, said he strove to join the Church amidst hardships during pandemic for that very truth. “I want to be saved on the Day of Judgment. I am very glad that I am now a full-fledged member of the Church Of Christ,” he declared.
Brother Corpuz, in an interview, said, “The brethren never cease in sharing their faith because this is the only way people will become closer to God, have the right to worship Him, and receive the promised eternal life in the Holy City.” — With reports from INC News Section
