As a result of the intensified work of propagation in the Ecclesiastical District of Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental, more and more people get to know the truth about the proper way of worshiping God that leads to salvation and thus, join the Church Of Christ. With the help of God, they finally reached the final step of their conversion through a baptism held on November 7, 2021.
The candidates for baptism from various congregations in the district, together with the brethren who were instrumental in their conversion, gathered early at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Kabankalan City. They made sure that health and safety protocols were carefully followed throughout the sacred gathering.
During the study of God’s words led by the district supervising minister, Brother Dante Mujar, the would-be members were reminded of the great blessings that await them as they become full-fledged Church members. Thus, Brother Mujar exhorted them to be patient in enduring the hardships until they reach the promised salvation.
Among the newly baptized brethren were couple, Russel and Geraldine Taborite, former Catholic members. “Before, we were praying and bowing down to idols and also believed in superstitions. But when we learned about the teachings in the Church Of Christ, we were convinced that these are the truth because they are based from the Bible,” said Russel.
Church members from the district, which is found in the Western Visayas, Philippines, were joyful and blessed for they became instruments in bringing people back to God by sharing them the pure gospel. — With reports from INC News Section
