In a simple but solemn and fitting gathering via videoconferencing on March 20, 2021, the members of the Local Congregation of Moscow, Russia in the Ecclesiastical District of Northern Europe, especially the youth, paid tribute to the parents.
A video presentation of children who recently graduated was shown, in which they expressed their appreciation for their parents’ hard work and sacrifices for them and the whole family.
The children recognized their parents’ support and guidance not only in their everyday life and studies but most especially in their service to God, even though they are far because of work.
“The moment we watched and heard the heartfelt messages from our children it gave us joy and strength to strive more. We know that being away from our family is heartbreaking but as we have seen our children graduate during this pandemic made us proud. It is indeed a great success for us parents and for our children,” Lani Salonga, a multimedia officer, expressed.
Selected brethren performed an inspiring musical number.
“Activities, such as this, are important for every parent as well as children to attend because it can inspire everyone, especially on the part of parents who are away from their children. Their children become the inspiration in their work, even if they are far away, they develop bonding through such activities,” said Esmeralda Coloma, head secretary. — With reports from INC News Section
