The Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) members from the Ecclesiastical District of Nagoya, Japan reaped the fruits of their efforts in the Church’s work of propagating the pure gospel as their district held consecutive baptisms on August 27 and 29, 2021.
The candidates for baptism, together with the brethren instrumental to their conversion, traveled from the Chubu, Kansai, Chugoku, and Shikoku regions to reach their respective venue of baptism.
On August 29, Brother Herbert Lazala, assistant district supervising minister, led the baptism held at the place of worship of the Local Congregation of Okayama while on August 27, Brother Amante Rodriguez, district supervising minister, led the sacred occasion at the Nagoya Congregation’s house of worship.
During the baptismal service, the baptismal candidates listened attentively to the Bible-based lesson to prepare them for receiving the true baptism. Each of the officiating minister taught from the Holy Scriptures that becoming a full-fledged Church Of Christ member is a great privilege from God. The baptismal candidates were encouraged to hold fast their membership, for with it their worship of God would be accepted by Him and they would now be counted among those promised to inherit the Holy City.
One of the newly baptized members, Delia Horiuchi, now registered in the Kobe Congregation, said, “Since I’ve learned the true teachings here in the Church Of Christ, I am certain that this is the true church. So, I promise to remain faithful whatever happens.” — With reports from INC News Section
