On January 18, 2020, 10:00 am, members of the erstwhile Nanaimo Group Worship Service gathered at their new place of worship to hold its inaugural worship service as a full-fledged local congregation. Brethren from congregations across the Ecclesiastical District of British Columbia, Canada joined them in praising and thanking God for this blessing through the Church Administration.
Brother Elmer Miranda, assistant district supervising minister, officiated. He was assisted by the resident minister, Brother Arnedo Vejerano, and some ministers from the district office. Brother Miranda taught the value of working hard not only for a living but also to receive eternal life.
On the same occasion, members appointed to key offices such as leadership of the local congregation took their oath of office. In an interview, they expressed their utmost thanks to the Lord God for utilizing the Church Administration in taking care of their spiritual welfare, such as providing a place of worship near their homes.
The brethren said that they will all the more be active in worshiping the Almighty God now that they received a great blessing from Him.
