In the Ecclesiastical District of Negros Oriental, in the Philippines, brethren from clusters of neighboring local congregations helped one another in inviting guests to an evangelical mission held on November 20, 2022.

It was reported that, all in all, thousands attended the Bible studies held in the  houses of worship of the following local congregations: Dumaguete, Siaton, Tanjay, Manjuyod, Bayawan, Mabinay, and Siquijor.

As part of their preparation for the event, the brethren conducted devotional prayers and distributed invitation cards and Pasugo: God’s Message magazines to their prospective guests. They also used their social media accounts to invite their relatives and friends, sending them links of the Church’s religious programs on air and online.

Brother Melchor Reyes, minister of the gospel who officiated at the Local Congregation of Tanjay City, enthused, “The brethren here are dedicated in all the Church works. They don’t cease to help in the intensified works of propagation. They might be busy attending to their own tasks, they still devote time to be active Church members.”

“I’m still studying in college and in demands a lot of my energy and time. Even so, I promise the Lord God and the Church Administration and to prioritize my participation in all of the Church works. I will keep on praying that my friend I invited to this evangelical mission may become a Church member someday,” said Kris Anne Pearl Bolina.

Her guest, Aubrey Mariot, from the town of of Dauin, Negros Oriental, remarked, “I truly believe that it’s God’s will that I was able to attend this gathering of the Church Of Christ. Here, the Bible is the center or focus of study. That piqued my interest to devote more time in knowing about this Church. I’m glad that my friend invited me here,” Mariot said. — With reports from INC News Section
