Church membership in Negros Oriental Ecclesiastical District continues to increase as new converts were added into the fold during a baptism conducted on December 4, 2020.
The candidates for baptism were accompanied by the brethren who were instrumental for their conversion into the Church. The sacred occasion was conducted at the house of worship of Siquijor Local Congregation located at the small island province of Siquijor in the Visayas region, Philippines.
The holy gathering was officiated by the assistant district supervising minister, Brother Jasper Villanueva.
Health and safety protocols were strictly followed all throughout the duration of the event.
Fernando Tumapon, one of the head deacons in Siquijor, said, “On behalf of the Church officers, we will continue to be one with the Church Administration in spreading the Good News of salvation all for the glory of God.”
Thankful to the Church Administration, resident ministerial worker of Lazi Local Congregation, Brother Randy Culanag, said, “Despite the pandemic, we are still able to conduct the holy baptism. We felt the love and concern of the Church Administration even if we are far from their sight.”
Newly baptized members treasured the day of their baptism because it was the day when they received one of the great gifts from the Lord God—the right of receiving salvation on the Day of Judgment. — With reports from INC News Section
