On August 28, 2022, two ecclesiastical districts in the Caraga Region, located in the northeastern part of Mindanao, Philippines, held simultaneous baptisms as more people, with God’s help, embraced the true faith and joined the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ).

In the Ecclesiastical District of Agusan del Sur, which oversees 53 congregations and several extensions, two simultaneous baptisms were conducted. Brother Antonio Maque, district supervising minister, led the one in the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Bayugan City while Brother Hernanie Agias, assistant district supervising minister, led the other in the Trento Congregation’s house of worship.

Meanwhile, in the Ecclesiastical District of Bislig City, in Surigao del Sur, a baptism was held at the house of worship of the Mangagoy Congregation. During the baptismal service officiated by Brother Wilfred Sacayanan, district supervising minister, he emphasized from the Bible that receiving baptism in the Church Of Christ and remaining active inside it will lead to salvation.

The district comprises 35 congregations and several extensions.

“I’m truly happy that I’m now a member of the Iglesia Ni Cristo. I promise to uphold the teachings of God and impart them on my children who are still young,” Marites Arcilla, one of the newly-baptized brethren from Bayugan City, expressed.

Brother Ardencio Pomida, Agusan del Sur District Light of Salvation (LOS) overseer, said, “We thank God for allowing us to conduct the baptisms of new converts. We’ll continue to unite in all the works of the Church led by our Executive Minister.” — With reports from INC News Section
