On March 21, 2021, the members of the Local Congregation of Nepean, Ecclesiastical District of Ottawa in Canada celebrated the 26th anniversary of congregation through a special gathering to offer praises and thanks to God for His blessings.

The district minister, Brother Jose P. Razon II, who supervised the momentous event, said that such a celebration “expresses the great love and kindness of our Lord God.”

“It means that God has blessed the congregation with another year of victories in all aspects of our services to Him, that is why we’re very grateful for the Local of Nepean to continue to praise and serve our Lord God as they celebrate their anniversary,” he explained.

Through video presentations, everyone in attendance reminisced the history of the remarkable growth of the Church in this part of the world. It helped enlighten the brethren, especially the newly baptized ones, on how God’s promises to His Messenger in these last days, Brother Felix Y. Manalo, came true and that their fulfillment continue to be experienced by the entire Church including the congregation.

Through the years the congregation’s membership has grown and from it the Local Congregation of Capital City and the Kingston and Gatimeau Group Worship Services were organized. Altogether they form the District’s Rideau Region. Brother Marcelo Jingco, the congregation’s third head deacon, said, “We believe that there’s no better way of doing this other than inspiring the congregation through unique but relevant presentation, so that’s why the whole presentation was based on the history of the congregation.”

Video greetings of former resident ministers and ministerial workers, and brethren, who were previously enlisted at the congregation, were also shown, interlaced with renditions of original Iglesia Ni Cristo music.

Brother Edgardo dela Cruz, resident minister, said, “This local congregation is not forsaken by our Almighty Father, by our Lord Jesus Christ, and by the Church Administration, and through the unity of all the brethren in this local congregation.”

“Each family will work hand in hand to meet our goal to bear abundant fruit. And with the help and mercy of God, the district of Ottawa, Canada will always remain one with Brother Eduardo V. Manalo in this vast work of salvation especially now that all of us are preparing for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ,” Brother Razon said. — With reports from INC News Section
