New choir members from three local congregations in the Ecclesiastical District of Negros del Norte, Philippines took their oath during special gatherings in the first two days of April 2022.

On April 1, 2022, new choir members were added to the Escalante City Local Congregation during the oath-taking that was held at their house of worship. Likewise, in the local congregations of San Carlos City and Sagay City, new members of the choir were sworn into office on April 2.

Brothers Antonieto Fornillos, Jimmy Lleno, and Richard Pacursa officiated at the said houses of worship, respectively. The said ministers preached a Bible-based lesson about the importance of accepting a Church duty. They emphasized that devotedly fulfilling one’s duty gives strength and inspiration to the Church officer. After the homily, they also administered the oath-taking of the new choir members.

“I firmly believe that this duty is a blessing from our Lord God. I will dedicate myself in fulfilling this,” Mechyl Barbecho, from San Carlos City Local Congregation, who took oath as a choir member, enthused. — With reports from INC News Section
