The Church Administration, through the leadership of the Ecclesiastical District of Masbate, Philippines, sworn in more than 200 new local congregation officers during a special gathering held on January 8, 2021.

Brother Miamino Miclat, district supervising minister, officiated at the holy gathering of all Church officers in the district from the house of worship of the Local Congregation of EGM to which 26 remote sites connected via videoconferencing.

He emphasized in his Bible-based sermon that Church officers are expected to listen to and obey the words of God taught by the Lord Jesus Christ.

He added that as they fulfill their duty of helping the Administration bring the Church to spiritual maturity, they should lead by example to the brethren under their care.

Receiving the words of God, the Church officers were once again equipped with the knowledge and inspiration they needed in leading the brethren to further intensifying the works in the Church.

In relation to this, Brother Ramon Dollesin, assistant district supervising minister, said in an interview: “Adding new Church officers aims to further care and strengthen the brethren for them to be all the more active in their services to our Lord God.”

“I accepted this Church duty to help the Church Administration in strengthening and caring for the brethren, I promise to fulfill my duty come what may in my life,” Christian Laurio, a newly sworn deacon from Masbate City Local Congregation, said. — With reports from INC News Section
