“What better way to celebrate the 107th anniversary of the Church than to propagate our faith?” enthused Brother Chris Gorospe, resident minister of the Local Congregation of New Era, Ecclesiastical District of Pampanga North.

Thus, on July 27, 2021, exactly on the day of the anniversary of the Iglesia Ni Cristo, he led the brethren in the said congregation in distributing copies of the Pasugo: God’s Message magazine to almost 400 people in their community. They made sure that health and safety protocols were met throughout this activity. Nonmembers gladly accepted the magazines, some even immediately opening it to read its contents.

Those in the age bracket who are not yet allowed by the government to go outside their houses, young and old alike, shared their faith by sending online religious articles through their social media accounts.

Meanwhile, the brethren who were at their workplaces, participated in the activity by bringing with them at work Pasugo magazines and handing them out to their officemates. Sister Greilla Dela Cruz, administrative staff in a private school, distributed to the teachers and her co-employees. She said, “I take part in activities like this to share my faith because this is a teaching of God. Also, this is the best way to show our love for others especially our family and friends.”

Towards the end of the day, the brethren, together with their invited guests, went to the house of worship for an evangelical mission. The study of God’s words was led by Brother Dan Manuba, regular ministerial worker. He taught the biblical reason people must strive to be in the true religion.

Many of the guests were those given religious magazines hours earlier, one of them was Jayson Caimahan. He said: “I am thankful for having been invited to listen to God’s teachings upheld by the Church Of Christ. I look forward to more Bible studies like this.”

On behalf of the congregation, Brother Gorospe said, “As members of the Iglesia Ni Cristo, we understand how important it is to do works of propagation. We are thankful that despite the challenges happening because of the pandemic, we are still able to do this duty. That’s why it is our promise to our Lord God that we will not forsake our membership and we will ensure to always take part in all the activities launched by the Church Administration.” — With reports from Jensen DG.
