A new extension of the Local Congregation of Capitol was recently opened, bringing to two the number of such places of worship being maintained by the Ecclesiastical District of Quezon City’s primary congregation.

The R. Sanchez Extension conducted its inaugural worship service on April 5, 2023, which was officiated by Brother Virgilio A. Del Rosario Sr., district supervising minister.

In his homily, he taught that the Church Of Christ has been guaranteed through biblical prophecies to receive salvation come the Day of Judgment. He thus encouraged them to remain dedicated to their worship of God, especially now that they have their own place of worship.

The new extension’s place of worship began as the Children’s Worship Service (CWS) sanctuary in the Capitol Congregation’s Area 13, according to the resident ministerial worker, Brother Richard Marcos Jr. Located at 1003 Km 18 Commonwealth Avenue, Barangay Batasan Hills, it has been “donated to the Church by Marina Sanchez and her family.”

“The increasing number of extensions, such as R. Sanchez, is evidence of God’s guidance and help to the Church,” Brother Del Rosario said in an interview. “This also shows the concern of the Church Administration, as they see the growing needs of the brethren, one of which is a more suitable place of worship. We will not stop worshiping and serving God. Likewise, we will evermore intensify our efforts in the works of propagation.”

The other extension of the Capitol Congregation is East Fairview, which is being prepared to become a local congregation. — With reports from Jobelle Ivy Vergara of INC News Section
