The Ecclesiastical District of Northern Europe added to the list of congregations under its care the newly established Hyltebruk Extension in Sweden. The inaugural worship service of the GWS was held on December 19, 2021, officiated by Brother Romeo Marquez, district supervising minister.

Some brethren from the local congregations of Copenhagen, Denmark; Oslo East, Norway; and Gothenburg, Sweden also witnessed the event.

“This is very important for the edification and propagation of the Church Of Christ,” remarked Brother Marquez, explaining, “Because of the establishment of the extension here, more people will learn about the pure words of God. Through that, they will be given the chance to be saved on the Day of Judgment. On the part of brethren living close to this place, this will also be a big help in performing their duty of worshiping God.”

The brethren in Hyltebruk used to travel to Gothenburg, a two-hour drive, in order to attend the worship services and participate in various Church activities. Now, as brethren there hold worship services in a rented property at Liljevägen 2B, Hyltebruk, Sweden, the travel time became significantly shorter.

Moved by faith, Brandon Bolander, deacon, volunteered that a part of his property be used as the venue for the worship services in Hyltebruk. “Now that our place is an extension, we are all the more humbled and very thankful to the Church Administration.” He said that he looks forward for “more brethren in this part of our country.”

On behalf of the congregation, Brother Oliver Naguit, the resident minister enthused, “We thank Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, our Executive Minister, for approving this extension to be established. With this as an inspiration, we will all the more be active in our worship of God, as well as uniting with the Church Administration He blessed us with.” — With reports from INC News Section
