As part of providing for their spiritual needs, the Church Administration had a 100-seater house of worship constructed for the members of the Sta. Barbara Extension in the Ecclesiastical District of Cagayan South.

The said sacred edifice situated in Barangay Dumpao, Iguig, Cagayan, Philippines was first used by the brethren for their worship service on November 5, 2022.

“It is so heartwarming to be blessed with a new and nearer house of worship,” said Mariflor Mallari, finance officer, who donated to the Church a part of her land at Zone 2, Sta. Barbara, Iguig, for the construction of the house of worship.

She and her fellow Iglesia Ni Cristo members from Sta. Barbara Extension used to attend worship services at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Iguig, five kilometers away.

The first worship service in the new house of worship was led by Brother Elmer Abalos, district supervising minister.

Thankful for now having a house of worship close to his home, Marcelo Aurelio, head deacon, expressed, “In the midst of trials, worship services keep me strong in the faith; God’s spiritual blessings are felt every time I attend.”

Brother Bernard Talattad was recently assigned as the resident ministerial worker of the extension. — With reports from INC News Section
