“Despite the unusual occurrences in this world, such as the pandemic and hardships, the construction of our new house of worship was not hindered,” Myda Pearl Mejia, from the Local Congregation of Labut, said joyfully.
Their new house of worship was thus dedicated to the Lord God on February 26, 2021.
Brother Manuel Santos, supervising minister of the Ecclesiastical District of Ilocos Sur, in the Philippines, led the special worship service for the dedication. “The brethren waited for this momentous occasion and they were so eager to attend the dedication of their new house of worship. From the Church officers to all the brethren, we extend our gratitude to God and the Church Administration for this beautiful house of worship,” he said.
“The Church Of Christ upholds the building of houses of worship because this is where the brethren worship and glorify the Lord God,” Brother Eduardo Donato, assistant district supervising minister, explained.
With the addition of new members, the local congregation, with Brother Marc Jayson Tubera as the current resident ministerial worker, needed a bigger house of worship. “From childhood, I saw how our congregation grew through the help of the Lord God and now we have a new house of worship,” said Marcelino Ubaldo, head deacon.
The new house of worship is situated in Brgy. Labut, Cabugao, Ilocos Sur, Philippines.
“I am very happy because our congregation is blessed with a new house of worship. I am proud to be one of the pioneers in this local and I promise to take good care of this holy edifice,” Eufrocino Baclig, a deacon, expressed. — With reports from INC News Section
