On November 20, 2021, during the inaugural worship the congregation’s members offered overflowing praises and thanks to God for His bountiful blessings including their new house of worship situated at Barangay Poblacion, Alcantara, Romblon.
The district supervising minister, Brother Dante Masongsong, officiated at the holy gathering. Through a Bible-based lesson, he emphasized to the brethren that to be able to worship God inside the house of worship is a great blessing. He also reiterated to them that God expects His true servants to prove their gratitude to Him for the blessings He continuously provides them with.
“Being able to worship God despite the pandemic is important,” said Brother Adriel Sapungan, resident ministerial worker, “for it is when His chosen people can all the more expect His help in our lives, while they also uphold devotional prayers and obedience to all His commands.”
“The nonstop building of houses of worship even in this time of pandemic clearly proves one thing, that is, God’s being with the Church, primarily its Administration led by the Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo,” said Brother Floro Deocales, a minister of the gospel, who was also present at the inaugural worship service.
On behalf of the congregation, Brother Sapungan added, “We will always treasure and take good care of this new and beautiful house of worship for this is a solid testament of God’s love to us.”
The construction of the 110-seater new house of worship situated at Talisay St., Poblacion, Alcantara began on January 11, 2021 and was completed nine months later, specifically on October 26. During its construction, the congregation held worship services in a temporary place of worship in a rented property along Lt. Galisanao St., Poblacion, Alcantara.
