A new house of worship for the Local Congregation of Atisan in the Ecclesiastical District of San Pablo City, Laguna was dedicated to the Lord God in a worship service on January 8, 2021. The sacred edifice is situated in Brgy. Atisan, San Pablo City, Laguna, Philippines.

Attendees followed the health and safety protocols implemented by the government. The local leadership prepared an overflow tent to accommodate the congregants while ensuring that social distancing is observed.

Brother Wilfredo Gonzales, district supervising minister, led the sacred occasion. He emphasized in his Bible-based homily the the importance of the house of worship and the worship service in receiving God’s blessings.

“I heard in the worship service that all members should be active in serving God, in participating in Church works, and in fulfilling their Church duties so that God will all the more be pleased. My promise is that even if I am old, I will continue performing my duties,” said Aurea Capalad, a choir member and one of the pioneers in the congregation.

“I promise to remain united with the Church Administration and lead the brethren under my care in active services to God,” said Brother Mark Jozen Bocar, resident ministerial worker assigned in Atisan.

The brethren are joyful for their new house of worship. While the new chapel was under construction, the members conducted their worship services in the home of Rebecca Dalisay.

“Houses of worship such as this are very important. It is God’s command to build these sacred edifices. We thank Him and the Church Administration for giving this congregation a new house of worship, even in this time of pandemic,” Brother Gonzales said.

The brethren promise to love and care for their holy edifice where they worship God and conduct prayers to Him.

“To God be the glory, I am full of joy that a house of worship rose here in our local congregation, we will take care of this, also for the next generation of brethren here who will worship God in this beautiful house of worship,” Nicolas Dalisay, a deacon and also a pioneer brethren, expressed. — With reports from INC News Section
