“I am joyful on how we were welcomed. I also have many new friends in the Church Of Christ who guide me in the proper service of God,” Angel Grajo, a new member from Bulan Local Congregation, expressed after attending a “Welcome, My Brethren” activity in the Ecclesiastical District of Sorsogon, Philippines.

Held on May 14, 2021 at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Bulan, the activity was also attended by brethren from the local congregations of Otavi, Bulan, San Rafael, M. Roxas, Nasuhe, San Isidro Bulan, Butag, JP Laurel, and Biton.

Brother Aladino Barbacina, district Christian Family Organizations (CFO) overseer, informed the newly baptized brethren as to which family organization they now belong—Buklod, KADIWA or Binhi. They were also reminded of the Church activities that they should attend.

Brethren who were instrumental for their baptism were also recognized.

Brother Mateo Escobido, district supervising minister, imparted a biblical lecture about renewing one’s life, going onwards in fulfilling God’s commandments, and the importance of actively participating in Church works.

After the activity, the new members received goodwill bags prepared by the brethren.

“I was able to invite my elder sibling who is already a prospective baptismal candidate. I pray that my other siblings and parents also be called in the Church. I am hoping that one day, we could all be together serving and glorifying the true God in the true Church for us to be saved on Judgment Day,” Angel added. — With reports from INC News Section
