New officers of local congregations throughout the Ecclesiastical District of Micronesia took their oath of duty during a special gathering of Church officers on January 31, 2021.

The attendees gathered in several places of worship connected with one another through videoconferencing. The Guam Local Congregation’s served as the main location, where Brother Noel Gasmen, district supervising minister, officiated at the holy occasion.

Brother Gasmen preached a biblical lesson reminding the congregants that a Church duty is a blessing from God. He also emphasized that as they fulfill their sacred tasks, they are taking an active role to help in caring for the brethren in their respective congregations.

“I was given a spiritual gift from God. I know that I need to take care of and love the brethren and the Church, to make sure that they reach spiritual maturity and continue to remain active in serving our Lord God and Lord Jesus Christ,” Linda Guerrero, a newly-sworn deaconess, said.

In addition, the newly sworn officers added to the district’s strength as it pursues its goals in the further intensified efforts for the successful propagation of the true gospel.

“It is very important to share our faith, even during this time of pandemic, because people need peace in the midst of chaos and uncertainties. Church Of Christ members have peace in God and now, we need to share it,” said Angela Calalo, an assistant group overseer. ― With reports from INC News Section
