The Ecclesiastical District of New Zealand established a new local congregation in the south island of the country—the Hastings Local Congregation which conducted its inaugural worship service on January 19, 2020.
Before becoming a Group Worship Service (GWS), the brethren of Hastings had to travel distances to attend the worship service at the Local Congregation of Taupo. After years of devotional prayers, the GWS is now elevated to local congregation status.
Brother Dennis Dahunan, district supervising minister, led the preaching of the words of God. In his homily, he emphasized God’s expectation that His people enhance their spiritual fervor in serving Him.
During the historic worship service, new Church officers took their oath to help the Church Administration in caring for the brethren in their area. — With reports from the INC News Section
