Various local congregations in the Ecclesiastical District of New Zealand launched “Gulayan sa Bakuran” (backyard vegetable farming), a Christian Family Organizations (CFO) activity launched by the Church Administration in the district for the month of April 2020.
Brethren from the local congregations of Nuku Alofa, Tonga, and Fiji Island were among those who participated with gusto.
The activity aims to remind the brethren of the practical benefits of planting crops in their own backyard, considering the worsening poverty and lack of nutrition in many countries. The brethren learned basic skills in tilling soil and creating plots and composts.
Interviewed brethren said that they will all the more unite with the Church Administration and participate in all Church activities. ― With reports from INC News Network
