A new local congregation has risen in the Ecclesiastical District of New Zealand. The Local Congregation of Massey held its inaugural worship service on March 28, 2021 at its place of worship in Te Manawa, 11 Kohuhu Lane, West Gate Auckland.
“This [inaugural worship service] is a great blessing from our Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ. We thank the Church Administration in granting our request so that the worship service will be closer to our brethren here in our area,” Brother Marco Mangune, resident minister, said.
In the past, the brethren in Massey had to travel 18 kilometers to the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Auckland, the nearest local congregation to attend worship services. Now, they have a place of worship near their homes.
Brother Dennis Dahunan, district supervising minister, officiated at the holy occasion. He exhorted the brethren through a Bible-based lesson to dedicate themselves in worshiping the Lord God and they were further encouraged to be confident and strong, courageous, and firm in the true faith. The importance of the worship service to every member of the Church was also emphasized. New officers of the local congregation also took oath during the momentous event.
“The brethren are joyful for this blessing that would be useful to further share our faith to our fellowmen in the area and also to strengthen and take care of the brethren’s faith,” Brother Mangune added. — With reports from INC News Section
