In commemoration of the 58th founding anniversary of the Buklod Christian Family Organization (CFO), its members from the Ecclesiastical District of New Zealand held a special gathering on December 13, 2020 to worship and thank the Lord God for all His blessings.
In local congregations where it is allowed or possible, married couples gathered at their respective places of worship. The rest of the brethren, such as those from Group Worship Services, were able to take part in the service in the comforts of their homes through videoconferencing.
Brother Dennis Dahunan, district supervising minister, officiated at the holy occasion held at the Local Congregation of Auckland. Whereas his co-ministers and ministerial workers in the district led the Buklod special gathering in the rest of the congregations.
Ramil Barrocan, Buklod president from the Local Congregation of Hamilton, said, “Such special gathering is very important to strengthen the love and bond of married couples in the Church.”
The brethren expressed their deep gratitude to God for strengthening and edifying their love and faith through the Church Administration with the help of the district leadership.
Ronel Rivera, a deacon from the Local Congregation of Christchurch East, stated, “This is a special occasion for Buklod members wherein we were strengthened from our married life, as well as edifying the faith of our children.”
On behalf of brethren from the Local Congregation of Hamilton, Rey Bendicio, one of its head deacons, expressed his gratitude: “We thank the Lord God for His love and compassion to us. Through such a gathering, we were reminded about our duties as parents to our children to bring them with the right attitude, especially in serving God in the Church Of Christ.”
Jun Vivas, GWS overseer from the Local Congregation of Silverdale GWS, mentioned, “I am so blessed, for I have once again received the teachings of the Lord God.” He continued, “Through the guidance of the Church Administration, they always remind us about our obligations on how we look after our family to further intensify their faith.”
Rey Agpalasin, a head deacon from the Local Congregation of Christchurch East, remarked, “As head of our household, even though we are far from the sight of the Church Administration, through this kind of activities, our relationship as husband and wife are strengthened.” ― With reports from INC News Section
