The Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ), through its construction arm, recently completed the new house of worship of the Local Congregation of Ngabangab, Ecclesiastical District of Laoag City, Ilocos Norte, in the Philippines.

The concrete edifice, which can seat 110 worshipers, was dedicated to the Lord God in a special worship service officiated by Brother Eugenio Corpuz Jr., the district supervising minister, on December 16, 2022.

Citing the Holy Scriptures, Brother Corpuz reassured the congregation’s members that every time they congregate for worship in the house of prayer, the Lord God and His Son Jesus Christ are in their midst through the Holy Spirit to strengthen them in the faith. He exhorted them, thus, to dedicate themselves fully to assembling together for worship no matter what.

“The new chapel here in Ngabangab is a great help for the brethren to all the more introduce the Church Of Christ to their fellowmen. The people here would learn how the Church was able to build new houses of worship all over the world despite economic difficulties thus would spark their interest in knowing more about the Church and its doctrines,” said Brother Corpuz in an interview after the worship service.

Expressing the gratefulness that the brethren from Ngabangab Congregation felt, Ador Ponio, head deacon, enthused, “We thank God for the instrumentality of Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, the Executive Minister, in allowing us to have a beautiful house of worship.”

“This chapel will serve not only a landmark in our place but most especially a place where we can always render our praises to God,” said Gloria Gervacio, a deaconess. “I promise to Him that as long as I have my life and strength, I will perform my duties and worship Him.”

Aside from a LED TV and Johannus Organ, a CCTV, videoconferencing, and sound system were also installed in the new house of worship. — With reports from INC News Section
