A few days before 2022 ended, on December 24, 2022, the Ecclesiastical District of Northeast California held the last baptism for the year at the house of worship of the Local Congregation of Stockton.

In his homily during the baptismal service, Brother Pedro Dela Cruz Jr., the district supervising minister, reminded the candidates of baptism “to remain steadfast in their membership inside the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church Of Christ) until the end and be obedient in all of God’s commands to have the hope of salvation comes Judgment day.” One of these commands that he pointed out is the “shared responsibility of Church Of Christ members, to intensively share the true faith with others.”

“It was amazing. I feel like a new person after receiving my baptism,” said Amber Rose Way from the Local Congregation of Lathrop.

Fellow new member Kou Yang, from the Local Congregation of Stockton, said, “I feel great. I feel relieved and cleansed. I now belong to God. I also belong to His children who will inherit the everlasting life.” — With reports from INC News Section
