Keeping the faith despite the current difficult situation, Children’s Worship Service (CWS) members from the Goteborg Group Worship Service (GWS), Sweden, Ecclesiastical District of Northern Europe held a CWS Storytelling activity via livestreaming on November 29, 2020.
The CWS officers led the activity. Through Bible stories, they taught the children about the importance of having and sharing their firm faith, and putting all their trust in the Almighty God by being prayerful. Kian Brilliantes, CWS member, said, “It is important to share our faith because it is one of the commandments of our dear God.”
The young members also learned that, even at their very young age, they will be able to surpass all trials they may face, with God’s mercy and help. Ella Olivia Korhonen, also a CWS member, said, “My commitment to our Church Administration, [especially to] Brother Eduardo V. Manalo, is to follow and support all the activities organized in the Church, like CWS storytelling, because I believe that these will fortify my faith. [I’m glad] to meet my fellow CWS members even through video streaming.”
As the activity was held at the brethren’s respective houses, the parents also attended and supervised their children. Ella Olivia’s mother, Maria Elena Korhonen, said, “This kind of activity will help our young members to gain understanding about their membership in the Church Of Christ and to strengthen their faith in our Lord God.”
Seeing her child excelling in the faith, Fei Brilliantes, Kian’s mother, said, “I would like to express my gratitude to our Church Administration for allowing us to conduct this kind of activity for our children in our congregation. We as parent will continue to guide them and support them, we will continue to encourage them to be more active in the faith.” — With reports from INC News Section
