Thankfulness was what the members of the Egersund Extension felt during their inaugural worship service held on January 16, 2022. The newly established extension of the Church Of Christ is under the supervision of the Stavanger, Norway Group Worship Service (GWS) in the Ecclesiastical District of Northern Europe.
“Our brethren in [this] new extension of the Church Of Christ are very thankful to our Almighty God and [to] our Executive Minister, Brother Eduardo V. Manalo because their devotional prayer to God that they will have their worship service in that place has been granted,” Brother Romeo Marquez, district supervising minister, said.
The district supervising minister led the momentous occasion at the GWS’ place of worship at 35 Sokndalsveien, Egersund, Norway, about 80 kilometers from the place of worship of Stavanger, Norway. From the Holy Scriptures, he taught the brethren about the benefit of holding fast and obeying the words of God and that by doing so they would remain in their divine election and thus receive God’s blessings, especially salvation.
“Through God’s grace and mercy, we are able to have our worship service. In fact, I used to travel far from home to attend worship services. By having the worship services in our place is of great help, most especially that I will be able to perform my duty, I can always attend the worship services, and help intensify the work of propagation,” Daisy Ostbo, a Buklod member, said.
Expressing the collective promise of the brethren to the Lord God and the Church Administration, Brother Marquez added that “they will all the more be active in worshiping God and in spreading [His] words in that part of the world.” — With reports from INC News Section
