Unhindered by the long distances between its local congregations and group worship services (GWS), the Ecclesiastical District of Northern Europe held baptisms in Croatia, Denmark, Norway, and Sweden, on February 26, 2023.

The baptisms were conducted simultaneously through livestreaming. The place of worship of the Local Congregation of Oslo, Norway served as the host site. There, Brother Vizar Balcita, district supervising minister, led the study of God’s words prior to the baptism proper. After conveying the biblical reason why people must receive baptism in the true Church, he emphasized that remaining among its active members is of equal importance.

The candidates for baptism from the local congregations of Copenhagen, Denmark and Nynashamn, Sweden; Zagreb, Croatia GWS and Stavanger, Norway GWS, gathered in their respective places of worship. They were baptized by Brothers Philip Manguiat, Oliver Naguit, Gerald Barcebal, and Rodel Mallare, ministers of the gospel.

“The right and true worship in the Church Of Christ was proven to me through the Bible. That is why I firmly believe that God accepts my worship and services to Him,” said Neil Louise Gacilan of Stavanger, Norway GWS.

Remembering what motivated him to enter the Church, Gacilan further shared, “I was searching for a religion that would teach me the correct faith. I tried finding it in other religions but I just couldn’t. Upon attending an evangelical mission in the Church Of Christ, it felt so right to belong to this Church. The doctrines are indeed biblical. Thus, they beget true faith. I will uphold this faith guided by God’s will.”

Currently, the Ecclesiastical District of Northern Europe oversees 16 local congregations, one extension, and 30 GWS, which are established in 14 countries across Europe. — With reports from INC News Section
